Ahmad Ghali, Flying Eagles attacker, has completed his transfer to AS Trencin of Slovakia.

The 19-year-old joined the former club side of Super Eagles’ Samuel Kalu and Moses Simon from Mahanaim FC in Abuja for an undisclosed fee. The deal is expected to be for a year.

The Slovakian club announced the signing of the Nigeria U20 star on AS TV, their official TV, on Thursday.

In an interview with the club after his unveiling, Ahmad Ghali said that his aspiration is to perform better than his Nigerian predecessors.

The Kano-born attacker, who once played for Dabo FC and MFM FC, also said that his target is to play well and reach greater heights in football.

“I know my predecessors and compatriots who have played for AS Trencin like Samuel Kalu and Moses Simon, so I am going to try my best to maybe reach a great level to what they achieved,” Ghali said.

“I am very happy to be here, I am happy with the way the Club received me.

“I want to thank my agency that brought me here to sign for AS Trencin, I know the team have great players and I am ready to give my best both inside and outside the pitch.”

The goal poacher was a provisional member of the Nigeria team to the last FIFA U20 World Cup in Poland, before he was dropped few days to the start of the tournament.

The youngster, who was given a second chance at the 12th All Africa Games in August, in Morocco, proved to be the star player of the team, as the Flying Eagles finished in second place.

The club is expected to present Ahmad Ghali with an official jersey number in front of their home crowd ahead of their weekend game.
