Alhaji AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq’s humanitarianism in Kwara began long before his foray into partisan politics. This included educational sponsorship of indigenes, granting of scholarships, and provision of potable water in disadvantaged areas of the state.
Hundreds of women and youths have also benefited from his empowerment schemes, vocational training, provision of start-up capital for small scale businesses and provision of tools post vocational training.
Abdul Rahman is also a renowned supporter for the cause of people living with disabilities. His contributions include donation of Braille, educational aids and equipment to School of the Blind in Ilorin and Pacelli School of the Blind in Lagos.
His philanthropy transcends Kwara State or Nigeria. As an investor, he has been involved in Corporate Social Responsibility projects and donations in Cote D’Ívoire. Abdul Rahman partners with the Children of Africa Foundation whose brainchild is the Mother-Child Hospital. His philanthropy knows no bounds.
A great football enthusiast, Abdul Rahman has contributed immensely to sports development in Nigeria. He is known to sponsor football tournaments across various wards of his native Ilorin West, with participating clubs getting jerseys, trophies and cash rewards.
